Sky Trail®: The indoor & outdoor innovation for Europe!
The Sky Trail® is the perfect extension of the traditional ropes courses for tourists: It works as a stand-alone attraction in an urban setting or can be incorporated into an overall concept for sport halls, leisure parks or cruise liners. Constructed using self-supporting steel components with outstanding properties, this leisure facility is perfect for busy, popular locations.
Kids and grown-ups alike can traverse entertaining, exciting and challenging climbing elements while remaining safe at all times on the Sky Trail®. These freely definable routes with varying degrees of difficulty deliver guaranteed fun, adventure and thrills for a large target group!

The special steel structure requires very little space and is easy to adapt to the on-site conditions, plus it enables a large volume of participants to pass through the course (50–500 people per hour) and features an end-to-end safety system. The extremely low staffing requirements, high capacity, operation without power consumption and low maintenance make this climbing park one of the most attractive investment opportunities in the leisure sector.
The Sky Trail® is manufactured by our US partner “Ropes Courses, Inc.”, a pioneer in ropes course construction which has built over 800 ropes courses worldwide since 1989. As the exclusive distributor for Europe (except UK, France, Norway and Denmark) faszinatour is very much looking forward working with you!
Safety information: A TÜV site acceptance test and certificate of operational safety is required as standard upon completion of each Sky Trail® course. Our steel structures bear the obligatory CE mark in accordance with EN 1090 and comply with the EN 15567 ropes course standard.
Operating concept
The Sky Trail® can be operated as a stand-alone attraction or as part of a leisure park. The operational procedure is the same in either case; only the admission price needs to be adjusted.

The Sky Trail® Discovery is our one-story starter model. It´s modular construction based on a triangular system allows for a design according to your available space and budget. The Discovery consists of three to ten masts with all kinds of different climbing elements in between.
One or two stairs with special securing rails provide access. Your guests will therefore be connected to the safety system from the ground and can only get off it once again back on the ground. The overall hight is approx. 6 m.
Hence the Sky Trail® Discovery can be installed indoors in halls with a clearance height starting from 6 m. As with all Sky Trail® models the space underneath can be used fully.
Once installed the Discovery can be extended at any time with extra masts. Plus you can switch the climbing elements or replace them with new ones yourself.
The Sky Trail® Navigator is the ideal model if you are aiming even higher. Like the starter model Discovery the modular construction based on a triangular system allows for adjusting the design to your available space and budget. The Navigator consists of three to ten masts with all kinds of different climbing elements in between and can also be delivered two stories high.
One or two stairs with special securing rails provide access. Your guests will therefore be connected to the safety system from the ground and can only get off it once again back on the ground. The same applies for access to the second story.
The overall height for a one-story construction is approx. 5.95 m and for two stories approx. 10 m. As with all Sky Trail® models the space underneath can be used fully.
Once installed the Discovery can be extended at any time with extra masts. Plus you can switch the climbing elements or replace them with new ones yourself.
The Sky Trail® Explorer is the ideal model for leisure facilities with a high client frequency (recreation parks, shopping malls, ski lifts, swimming lakes eg.). The modular construction is based on a rectangular system and the design can be adjusted to the available space and budget. The explorer consists of four to ten masts with all kinds of different climbing elements in between and can be extended up to four stories.

The overall height for a one-story construction is approx. 5.95 m and up to 17 m with four stories. As with all Sky Trail® models the space underneath can be used fully.

The Sky Trail® Voyager is our model achieving the highest possible througput rate. Like the Explorer it is perfect for leisure facilities with a high client frequency (recreation parks, shopping malls, ski lifts, swimming lakes eg.). The modular construction features two platforms on masts with two to four parallel climbing elements between them. The platforms can be placed in a linear or u-shaped way or can be adjusted to the available space in any other way. As one of the biggest standard models we offer, the Sky Trail® Voyager can be up to four levels high.

The Sky Trail® Sky Tykes® has been developped especially for children from two to seven years or a body height under 1.22 m. Exactly like with our bigger Sky Trail® models the children are equipped with a harness and are hooked into the safety rails. At a height of approx. 70 cm the children move on similar climbing elements like the higher Sky Trail® features. Special access elements allow parents or other accompanying persons to follow the child on the ground and to give support if necessary.
Stairs with a special securing rail provides access. The children will therefore be connected to the safety system from the ground and can only get off it once again back on the ground.
The Sky Trail® Sky Tykes®, featuring a modified length and choice of climbing elements and safety system has been developped especially for small children who do not yet have the confidence or who are not yet allowed due to age to use the bigger models.
TheSky Tykes® can either be integrated into existing masts of a Sky Trail® model or stand alone. The overall height for stand-alone models is approx. 2.5 m.
The Sky Rail™ can also complement existing Sky Trails® in a most flexible way. Due to the rigid design of the Sky Rail™ sagging as it occurs with classical steel cable constructions in the middle of the zip line is avoided. Hence this zip line can also be used indoors in halls with a ceiling hight from 6 meters. The Sky Rail™ can also be operated as a stand-alone attraction without a direct connection to a Sky Trail®.
There are two different types of braking systems. First an automated monitoring system which is combined with an electronically controlled access control and a traffic-light system. This logically controlled system allows a high througput rate of clients at a maximum safety level. Second there is a non automated system with a magnetic brake which does not need power supply. Counterweights and mechanical signals replace motors, light barriers and lights. This system requires a person in charge at the starting point of the Sky Rail™ to guarantee for smooth operation.
Installation on cruise ships: Here the exactly defined position of the masts requires a special construction. We mastered this challenge and just before the cruise ships Carnival Magic, Carnival Breeze und Norwegian Breakaway were ready, have built our Custom-Made Sky Trail® models on the ships in the dockyard. Due to the great success with the passengers more orders have been placed. A special high-light has been constructed on the Norwegian Breakway: the element "walk the plank" takes the climbers out over the ship´s rail at a height of 30 meters with unobstructed view over the sea. At the end of this element a self-releasing camera rewards the adventurers with a souvenir photo.
Installation at a rock abyss: Our partner Ropes Courses, Inc. has erected a Sky Trail® at a rock abyss with some of the elements leading straight over the canyon. Thus the clients get the breathtaking opportunity to look down 200 meters and balance safely over the abyss.
Installation in a shopping mall: Our distribution partner for UK and Ireland - Innovative Leisure Ltd. - has constructed a 4-story Sky Trail® on limited space in the shopping mall "Merry Hill". Not only the special design but also the building process in confined space surrounded by a glass palace was a real challenge.
Installation in water: In the leisure park "Hansapark/Sierksdorf" faszinatour has built a Sky Trail® partly into an existing lake and integrated the facility on difficult terrain into a very old tree population.
Thematization: all sorts of scenarios are possible like eg. pirate ship, jungle or corporate branding.
