High & Low Ropes Course: Experiential learning for everyday therapy – tailor-made and low-impact. Year of construction 2025

How can experiential learning support therapeutic work? Together with the Rheinhessen Specialist Clinic in Alzey, we developed a custom solution: a combined high and low ropes course designed for daily use by the clinic’s own team. The first construction phase, a low ropes team course with six elements, is already up and running, providing valuable input in therapeutic group settings. The high ropes section will follow in a second build and includes seven elements across five poles.

Special features

The entire layout was carefully planned around existing trees, only one had to be removed. One clever feature: a single mast is used for both the high and low ropes sections, saving materials and space. The structure is built on poles using regional timber, with short delivery routes and minimal impact on nature. It’s durable, low-maintenance, and tailored for long-term use without the hassle of daily setup and teardown.
